I met Marco DaSilva back in 2009 as a freshmen in college at SUNY Fredonia. Being that we were both born and raised in NYC, we instantly became friends and kept in touch for all of these years. Marco was the person that taught me how to be social and confident in expressing myself during a time in my life when I was dealing with severe social anxiety. I was surprised to find out over the years that Marco had shifted his interests from Acting to Painting. I attended almost every one of his art showcases and I have nothing but respect for his work and his character. It is truly an honor to have a friend that I can remain close to, regardless of how much time we go without talking to each other. It was only necessary that we collaborated on this video which not only creates a dialogue for identity, but how we can connect to ourselves and others through our individual experiences.
